Archdiocesan Cemeteries
Catholic Cemeteries is a ministry within the Catholic Church that reaches out to the faithful at times of personal loss. A bereaved family looks to their faith for religious support. The comforting presence of the Church is such a blessing throughout the grieving period.
"A Catholic Cemetery serves not only as the final resting place for the faithful departed, but also an inspirational reminder for the living..." John Cardinal Dearden, Archbishop of Detroit, 1958 - 1980
The Catholic Church of the Archdiocese of Detroit ministers daily to the Faith community. The Archdiocesan Catholic Cemeteries (Holy Cross, Holy Sepulchre, Our Lady of Hope), are an extension of the Catholic Church which ministers to the faithful at significant moments in their lives - primarily the moment of death of a loved one. All services, available to the families and friends of the loved one, are designed to emulate the comfort and compassion of Jesus. Our ministries are rooted in a firm belief in the sacredness of human life.
