Detroit, Michigan, March 1, 2010—The seminarians of Sacred Heart Major Seminary will be performing the acclaimed drama, "12 Angry Men," on March 26 and 27, 2010, in Sacred Heart's auditorium, 2701 Chicago Boulevard, Detroit, Michigan 48206. Both performances begin at 7:30 PM and are open to the general public. A free will offering will be asked, with donations going to support the Catholic Church's relief efforts in Haiti.
The 1954 play by Reginald Rose tells the story of one lone juror who holds out against the other eleven members of the jury. The juror is not convinced the defendant, a young Hispanic man, is guilty of murder. "12 Angry Men" was adapted into a 1957 film that was nominated for three Academy Awards.
This is the first play to be performed by Sacred Heart seminarians in the 500-seat vintage auditorium, completed in 1924, in over twenty years.
