October Happenings at The Retreat Center
In October The Retreat Center staff provided a warm welcome for thirty-seven separate groups.
- The three largest assemblies were a women's retreat from a Catholic parish, a conference for a national organization of Catholic men and a retreat for administrators and educators dedicated to inner city children.
- A variety of clergy groups included a diocesan convocation, a retreat week for Eastern Rite clergy, a training session for priests of the Archdiocese participating in the Good Leaders/Good Shepherds leadership process and a program committee from a religious congregation of men.
- Catholic youth were represented in two confirmation retreats and twelve high school retreat days.
- Two mission groups of sisters returned for their weekend renewal experience and a couple of parishes came to the Center with small groups.
- Three national catholic organizations and lay associates of a religious congregation scheduled their meetings this month as well.
- Other happenings include: a social justice training event, regular theology classes from Sacred Heart Major seminary, Learning to Pray with the Bible and WorldWide Marriage Encounter.
- The Center hosted eleven Protestant communities who gathered for prayer and fellowship.
- Around 1800 guests found their way to 4401 Five Mile Road.

- Sung Vespers for Gaudete Sunday December 14 6:00 p.m.
Mass is celebrated in the main chapel at 7:00 p.m. every Sunday.
